If All Goes as Planned...

...I'll be in Las Vegas for a board meeting for the Public Safety Writers Association.

This is done once a year, the planning for the coming year of this writing group made up of people from all sorts of law enforcement, fire and emergency services of all kinds, military--and mystery writers.

I've been a member for years and on the board since it was reorganized. I served as the program chair as the membership increased, and now I'm the newsletter editor.

PSWA has, in my opinion, the best writing conferences for mystery writers. It's the place where you can meet, talk to, and make friends with the best resources for writing your mysteries.

This year's conference has much to offer. Check it out at https://policewriter.com/

I can't afford to go to any of the big conferences, but I can this one. four nights in the Orleans hotel is about the same cost as four nights in the big conferences hotels. Plus, included in the registration fee is the first evening's get-together, and three big and delicious lunches. The hotel has many restaurants to choose from for other meals.

You can be on a panel if you want, and bring your books to sell in the bookstore.

At the board meeting we hope to accomplish a lot. It is a lot of work--but I'm looking forward to seeing my fellow board members.

See you when I get back.
