What's Happening in My Life Part 2

 A lot of my time is spent helping my husband. He'll soon be 92 and he can't see very well, still manages to get around, but has a poor memory. 

I am planning to go to the Public Safety Writers Association's annual conference, where I'm helping with the pre-conference writing workshop. My topic is Dialogue. I also read and critiqued 3 manuscripts and will share my thoughts with the authors.

I'm really looking forward to this conference and seeing many of my old friends and probably making some new ones. And getting ready for a trip and the conference takes some planning and time too. Since my son is caring for his dad while I'm gone, I have to make sure I leave good instructions.

I spent a lot of time promoting my latest and last Rocky Bluff P.D. mystery, REVERSAL OF FORTUNE.


I went on a virtual book tour which was fun, but not sure how much good it did as far as sales. Sometimes it takes a while for the results to show up.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
