What's Happening in My Life Part 3


THE TRASH HAREM is the latest in the Tempe Crabtree mystery series.


If all goes as planned, this is the day I will be leaving for Las Vegas and the PSWA conference.

Looking back, I'd like to write the next Tempe Crabtree mystery but unlike earlier time, ideas are not flooding in. I've had some good suggestions from readers--but nothing is jelling yet. What I'm hoping is being around writers, hearing the speakers and the people on panels will jostle my brain cells into coming up with an adventure for Tempe to be involved in.

Both she and her pastor husband are retired now. They've gone on vacations, visited their new grandchild, and are back home in Bear Creek. And?

It feels strange not to be writing a new book and I really want to do one. But if any of you reading this are writers you know that the ideas have to come.

I'd like to include some Indian lore--and I know readers like it when Tempe has ghostly encounters. 

That will all come about if I can just come up with a plot--a murder, a killer, and a threat toTempe.

So that's what's happening--or should I say not happening--in my life right now.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
