What's Coming Up






Since the start of the pandemic, so many meetings and events have been cancelled.

My two favorite Sisters in Crime chapters are no longer meeting: the San Joaquin chapter and the Central Coast Chapter. The Tulare/Kings Writers has had one gathering, but it was outside.

The Porterville Art Gallery closed, not to be reopened. It was a wonderful place for me--they sold my books, let me have booksignings and give talks there, and the two day Christmas Boutique was wonderful too--and it is no more.

I am going to San Luis Obispo to give a talk to the Nightwriters on October 11. They are just beginning to have in-person meetings.

The Apple Festival in Springville will be on Saturday October 15th, and I'll have a booth from 9 to 4.

So far that's the only in-person events I have coming.

I've been concentratin on on-line promotion and starting October 29 through November 2, BONES IN THE ATTIC will be free on Kindle. It's the perfect book for Halloween and I'll have more about it in later posts on this blog.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
