I'm Doing It Again!
It wil be free until midnight of December 9th.
A burglary draws resident deputy sheriff Tempe
Crabtree out in the middle of the night; a crime that segues right into the
murder of two elderly ladies, both killed while seated in chairs watching
television. As if this isn’t enough on her plate, a gigantic rainstorm causes a
mudslide, shutting the small mountain community of Bear Creek off from town.
And then it rains and rains some more. Tempe, along with a recently recruited California
Highway Patrolman, has the task of not only keeping residents safe from the
rising waters of Bear Creek, but of investigating the murders and burglaries.
The deputy has a reputation of solving murders no one else can and now she has
a target on her back.
There is a lot of background to thie story.
One of my friends wanted to be in a Tempe book and I gave her a new name, but her appearance, personality and quirks are all hers.
I had a lot of fun with this and she loved it--her friends that read the book said I got my friend perfectly.
Since then, she has appeared in other Tempe books.
If you haven't already read this--do give it a try.
