Golden Quill Award




Though I didn't win the Epic E-book award for No Sanctuary, I came home to learn that I did get the Golden Quill Award from American Authors Association for Dispel the Mist. Not too shabby.

Actually, I'm thrilled. I would've entered Dispel the Mist in the Epic e-book contest, but they'd changed the dates the books had to be published, and mine didn't fall in the right time period. I don't think it would've mattered though, Mike's book, The Pot Thief is a fantastic and unusual mystery and deserved the win.

The American Authors Association has been good to me, my mysteries have won other years. I do a lot of reviewing for them and have been able to read many good books because of it.

Thank you, American Authors Association, for this award.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
