Captcha Codes

I just had to write something about this as they drive me crazy. And because they did, I took them off this blog.

I've been on a blog tour where I needed to visit and make comments periodically and many times I was confronted with a Captcha code to decipher and copy.

No matter how careful I am, it seems I can never get it the first time around. The most times I've had to do it before getting it right was eight! If I hadn't really wanted to leave a comment, I'd have given up after a couple of tries. It does seem like there ought to be an easier way to figure out if someone is a real person or not.

Anyway, that's my rant for the week.

For the days between September 22 and 26, my publisher, Oak Tree Press, is offering the latest in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series free for Kindle on Amazon. I'll be publishing some of my reviews on my blog over that time period. I hope some of you will try it out, you may find you like it well enough to look for the earlier books in the series.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
