VIOLENT DEPARTURES--Introduced a new place in Rocky Bluff


VIOLENT DEPARTURES is all about a missing college girl--with some other interesting elements thrown in.

I did do some research about stalkers for this one.

However, for the connection to Charles Manson and his bunch, I remember how people felt about them all too well, and it added to the history of the the new/old place introduced in this tale. We lived in Oxnard when the Manson folks were skulking around and they got food from the trash at one of the local markets. 

Another aspect that was fun to write about is the Milligans move into a new house--one that Doug picks out on his own because it has a great price. Turns out their new home is haunted. And of course there's another crime connected to the haunting--one that Doug must solve .

I truly enjoy writing about this police department and all the families involved.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
