I love the sense of renewal, of starting afresh each Jan 1.

Also, sometimes I think one of the main reasons I love being a publisher is that I get to combine art and writing, plus graphics art and other business-y stuff.

However, when I was a little girl I used to play "Office." I'd set up an office in our back yard, with my executive suite and a reception area. Then I would make my brothers sit there for hours, waiting for their moment with the big cheese. I always wonder what prompted me to do that...there in my small town in the days before my family owned a TV!

Once a nut, always a nut, I guess. Anyway, I am looking forward to our year, Marilyn!BillieJohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05337146996871941279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164137142811869136.post-38416696520598412722009-01-01T21:00:00.000-08:002009-01-01T21:00:00.000-08:00Absolutely optimistically looking forward. It amazes me how many writers have been artists, and it took me a long time to decide I liked writing better.

Happy New Year!agnes deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08161800778249142385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164137142811869136.post-75407865775296487852009-01-01T15:31:00.000-08:002009-01-01T15:31:00.000-08:00I'm just so glad 2008 is over.KevinI'm just so glad 2008 is over.

KevinKevin R. I can't even cut a straight line, or draw one for that matter.

It is fun being the local author. Last night at a New Year's Eve party, the hostess mentioned I was an author and everyone wanted to know about my books. I'd bought 250pocket calendars with my business card on the other side, so I had plenty of those to pass around.
That's one of the fun things about being an author!

Morgan Mandel
http://morganmandel.blogspot.com
http://www.morganmandel.comMorgan Mandelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10118929301591850918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164137142811869136.post-68502125337434965942009-01-01T12:00:00.000-08:002009-01-01T12:00:00.000-08:00What a great post, Marilyn!
