I enjoy most movies, but generally seem to go when it's either really hot, like now, or really cold.Melanie Atkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04497149947919576774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164137142811869136.post-10406036273366060372008-07-31T06:54:00.000-07:002008-07-31T06:54:00.000-07:00I LOVE movies, but don't get to go as often as I'd...I LOVE movies, but don't get to go as often as I'd like. However, I did make the trip to Springfield to see SEX AND THE CITY when it came there. Since moving back to IL, I have become a slavish fan of SATC, a fact that has puzzled me since I am not a fashionista, and my idea of a romantic experience is a few hours in my garden. After much pondering, it dawned on me that my fascination with these four ladies was based in the way their characters interact with each other...the way they support each other in bad times, cheer each other's successes and more. What it really comes down to is excellent writing, especially in the character development area...reinforcing my frequent comment that it is character that keeps us turning the pages, or buying tickets at the movies..character is the element that lives on and keeps an audience coming back.BillieJohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05337146996871941279noreply@blogger.com
