The Adventures of One of My Great-Granddaughters

One of my great-gran-daughters, Peyton, is going to St. Mary's College in Indiana. (The female component of Notre Dame.)

What an exciting time for this California girl!

 Both she and her mom are good about keeping me posted.

Besides her classes she got a job on campus even before she arrived. She was able to meet her roommate while still in California.

All through school, until she had an injury in highschool, she was an Irish dancer--her team even won a World Cup in competition. She learned the college has an Irish dance group, so of course she's trying out for it.

She's been to a National Park in Indiana with a new friend. 

She's attending her first Notre Dame football game today.. cheering for the Righting Irish.

She wrote me a long letter about the possibility of the building that houses her dorm room being haunted. No, she's not frightened, just though I'd be interested.

So fun to hear all this about this new big step in her life.

Eventually I will get back to writing my book--but right now I am way too busy.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
