Smell of Death came from many different places. First the title because my cop son-in-law said no one shows you how bad dead people smell--and that was true way back when I wrote this book. Now that has been remedied in movies, books, and TV shows. The strange burglaries were based on what was discussed at the police department when I was waiting to go on a ride-along. And this is the beginning of the romance between Officer Stacey Wilbur and Detective Doug Milligan as she helps him with two murder cases. What helps solve the crime of the missing child is something that happened to me long ago while waiting to see a doctor. Of course this book is available on Amazon for Kindle and in paperback. F. M.
