My Valentine
My Valentine as a boy This is what he looked like when I married him After almost 60 years of marriage Yes, that cute sailor I met on a blind date is still my Valentine. He's also my love and my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him. We've gone through a lot together and separated during the Vietnam War when he was deployed there three different time with the Seabees. We raised five great kids to adulthood, grieved together when we lost our oldest son to cancer. We worked together when we had our own business, a residential care home for developmentally disabled women for twenty-three years. Now both retired--though we're still working plenty--my sweetheart is supporting me as a writer. He travels with me when I'm promoting my books and attending mystery conventions.
