Tulare County Historical Society
Today at 2 I'm giving a talk about my books to the Tulare County Historical Society which is meeting in the old Southern California Edison building in Exeter. I'll be talking about my historical family saga, Two Ways West , the second book I ever had published. It's out of print but I have a few copies left. It's based on the genealogy of my dad's family who settled where Springville is today, on a land grant. I'm also going to speak about some of my latest Deputy Tempe Crabtree mysteries as they are also set in Tulare County--though the town where Tempe is the resident deputy has similarities to Springville, I've called it Bear Creek and moved it 1000 feet higher into the mountains. (I wanted more trees and more frequent snow storms.) Of course I'll have books for sale--however I know I'm in competition with the Super Bowl, so whether or not I'll have much of an audience is a mystery. Wish me good luck. Marilyn Books by Marilyn
