A Little Something About Writing
Unlike some best-selling authors who can devote the majority of their time to writing, I have a lot more going on that interferes with my writing. My husband has reached the age where he needs more help from me, and I'm happy to give it. He's supported me in so many ways through the years. Just daily life takes time, doing the laundry, cooking and other kitchen chores. (I hire a granddaughter to do the cleaning which helps a lot.) And of course there is the shopping to do. The older you get, the more doctor visits too. My writing time is best in the morning, if I've have other things to do, I seldom get back to writing. One problem that occurs when you can't keep writing straight through, is forgetting important details about what you need to do in the plot, or where you are as far as the day and time. To help with both, I jot notes to keep track. To keep selling books, I have to do some promotion and I try to do that at least once a day--though it doesn...
