This has been exciting. I've had lots of downloads despite the fact that I didn't do this through the biggest place for advertising freebies--it is also the most expensive and way out of my budget. Deadly Omen  is the first in the Deputy Tempe Crabtree series to be published. It has gone through some hard times. The first publisher passed away after publishing four books in the series. Took a while to find a new publisher, and as many of you know, that publisher closed its doors. New life came about through my good friends Lorna and Larry Collins who helped me (did it all) through the self-publishing process. Deadly Omen  came about when a good friend invited me to a Pow Wow to assist her while she took photographs. My job was to take down information about the subjects and be sure she had permission to take the photos.
