And Christmas is Over

Back row--Lori, Dana,Lisa, Matthew. Front, Hubby and me

I've been sick since before Thanksgiving. Two kind of prescribed antibiotics did not help me. I struggled with coughing and a very runny nose. I hate being sick so tried to continue on as always, but spent a lot of time on the couch.

I didn't go teach Sunday School or go to church one Sunday, the next I taught Sunday School but it wasn't easy--and I didn't stay for chruch. I began to feel a tad better and resumed my usual schedule, but still wasn't well.

Ant then Christmas Eve came. My daughter Dana and her hubby Mike arrived. We had wonderful homemade tamales, rice and beans for dinnerand daughter Lisa and Henry joined us, plus son, Matt and wife Elaina who always helps, grandson Nick, his wife Crystal and their two boys, and of course Jessica, Jerry and the three girls were here.

After we ate, Dana had a fun game for us to play and then we opened our gifts (we always draw names.)

Christmas day, I got up early enough to watch the great-grands open their gifts. Fun! I taught Sunday School and went to church. Dana and Elaina took charge of the food. We had honeybaked ham, a wonderful pasta salad, crackers and different cheeses, chips and guacamole. Later in the afternoon, grandson Nathan, his wife Amanda and two greats arrived. So good to see them all.

A great and wonderful Christmas.

But the holiday wasn't over. Youngest daughter Lori and her hubby Rick came. So all my foru kids were here togehter.. We had a big lunch and took photos of all of us.

Lori brought her wonderful lasagna and we had it for dinner. More converdaton and hugs good bue and everyone headed for home.

What a glorious Christmas!

Still not completely well, but way better. Family is the best medicine.
