Working on a Memoir of Sorts

My intention is to write and publish a memori about my childhood during World War II. It may flow a bit beyond that.

What I'm learning is I don't remember as much as I thought I did. Plus, I've had to do research about dates which has given me some surprises as to my true age when certain things happened.

When my husband died, two of my girls came and helped me go through some things including some old picture albums.

Picture turned up of events I'd forgotten.

One is this birthday photo taken at Knott's Berry Farm. Back in the day, it didn't cost anything to visit Knott's Berry Farm. Of course it didn't have all the attractions it has today, but there were lots of fun things to do.

Top row l-r, Margaret Thomas, Pat Johannsen

I am not sure which birthday it was, maybe 12th or 13 th. I think I'm the only one who is still alive. Patricia recently went home to be with the Lord.  I knew her for many, many years.

Camp Arbolado, 1948

Church camp. Can't remember who these girls were exept for me in the middle of the second row, and Pat Johannsen in the top row on the right.  Possibly, that might be my cousin Barbara in the front row on the right.

Note, we're all wearing dresses, despite the place being very rustic. It was a church camp.  I went to this one twice.

Frankly, I can't remember much about what happened at camp.
