PSWA HIGHLIGHTS CONTINUED

MANAGING MAYHEM AND KEEPING THINGS UNDER CONTOL WHEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE

The moderator was John Schembra. Panelists: Dave Freedland, Robert Haig, William Soldado, Bob Calkins, Jim L'Etoile. All of these men had exciting, scary experiences to talk about, including out of control fires, riots and bad guys intent on mayhem. 

The panel of NON-FICTION was moderated by Michael A. Black with panelists Jim Altfeldl, Joshua Lee, John Bluck, and Mike Brandt.

They wrote non-fiction in various forms and explained how it should be done.

Frank Zafiro moderated THE ART OF REVSION, with panelists : Victoria Weisfeld, Barbara Lloyd, Kelly Peacock, Den Cobet and Jim Christ.They discussed critique groups in person and on line, having a good editor, first readers, and using Scribners, Grammerly, Marlow and AI.

And then the Awards Ceremon for the winners of the PSWA Writing Contest. 

We were fed sliders and various finger foods.

On Sunday we had three panels.

First was CRAFTING THE STORY with Kelli Peacodk modering the panel: Ann Parker, Jim Christ, Marilyn Meredith, Steve Ditmars and Mysti Berry. We discussed doing research, keeping things real, and techniques for craftimg a story.

Next came BLOGGING AND PODCASTS AND OTHER PROMOTIONAL IDEAS with moderator Colin Conway and panelists Frank Zafiro, Camille Minichino, Ann Parker, Mysti Berry and George Cramer.  They gave tips on running a successful blog, having a newsletter, and podcasts.

The last panel of the conference was called GETTING IT COVERED.  Moderator Thoni Havron guided Kelli Peacock, Barbara Hodges, George Criamer and John Schembra. They talked about cover design, the covers of their own books, and using AI to create covers.

It was great conference. Always hard to tell everyone goodbye.
