Achieving Your Dream

"Every step I take brings me closer to the realization of my dreams." I was encouraged to repeat this phrase by Judi Moreo, author of You Are More Than Enough Achievement Journal (Stephens Press, Dec. '07) until I understood exactly what it meant.

I suppose I've been floundering around hoping that the things I've been doing would indeed bring me closer to my dream. And what is my dream? In the beginning it was to be a published author. I've certainly achieved that dream--but what I'm reaching for now is more readers. It's so wonderful when I hear from someone who has finished reading one of my books and enjoyed it enough to let me know.

So, of course, every step I take to let people know more about my books is a step closer to that dream--reaching more readers.

So what steps have you taken to realize your dreams?

Wow, what a question -- I think every step I take puts me just that much closer to my dream of being a published and successful author. I believe 2008 will be my year. I believe that everything that I have done in the past has brought me to where I am right now and will be the catalyst to my first published novel. All of my life experiences have prepared me to write in a way that I never even knew was possible.

I believe in the past, I was scared of succeeding. I know that sounds crazy, but think about it, when my book hits the shelves next year, it will be on the New York Times Best Seller and my life will begin to change. My friends will be different. My responsibilities will be new and more advanced, not to mention the traveling - something I have not had to do alot of in my brief existence on this planet. Life will change for me, of this I am certain. But now, I'm ready. Now I welcome success. I have partnered with success in such a way that he has become part of my everyday. He is the behavior that I exhibit when I talk about my book. I am preparing my readers and making the right connections.

I am breathing, eating and sleeping success. We are great bed fellows. A match made in heaven.

Well, before I take up to much of your time I just want to say thank you for your blog and I plan to purchase your book. I can't wait to finish it and I will be certain to leave my feedback.

Take care and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
