Veteran's Day Observance






Granddaughter Genie took hubby and me to the most awesome sight. This was in a park in Wildomar CA in a park between city hall and the library. The Rotary Club sold flags to people to honor fallen vets or those serving or who had served in the Armed Forces.

Genie and her husband purchased a flag in honor of her grandpa, my hubby, for his 20 years of service in the United State Navy Seabees.

This was a most impressive display. Flags in straight rows everywhere.

There are photos of hubby, and hubby and me with Genie and her kids, Peyton and Garrett. Of course Genie's husband, Mark was taking the photos.

This was an absolutely awesome display of patriotism.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
