For the First Time I Have ARCs of a coming book

Angel Lost is the next book in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series. For the first time I actually have ARCs (Advanced Reading Copies) of the book. There is a plain cover with just the title and my name on the front and information about the book on the back.

My publisher, Oak Tree Press, will be sending them out to places like Publishers Weekly and Library Review, but it's up to me to find other appropriate places for them to go--places that will review them.

I've never done this before but not quite sure who to approach with them.

Anyone have suggestions?

Most traditionally published authors I know do a giveaway for a free ARC, and that can create a lot of buzz and publicity. I know I would enter for such a contest!

I've used some to get blurbs and reviews. Have four left. Not sure how to do the giveaway.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
