What I'm Thankful For

First of all I'm thankful for my parents who loved me and took me to church every Sunday and brought me up to love God. I'm thankful that I grew up in a different time and less stressful time than the one we live in now--even though our country was at war.

I'm thankful for my husband who I fell for way back when I was seventeen and has put up with me for 59 years of married life. I'm thankful that he's willing to do all the things that I like to do and is such a strong supporter of my writing.

I'm thankful for my five children and thankful that we had Mark for as long as we did. I'm thankful that I know he's in heaven and I'll see him again one day.

I'm thankful that I live in America.

I'm thankful for all that I've been able to do and see over the years.

I'm thankful for all the talents that God has given me.

I'm thankful that we have enough to share with those who are less fortunate.

I'm thankful for our little church and our church family.

I'm thankful for all my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

And on this particular Thanksgiving Day, I'm thankful that I'm not the cook and thankful to my youngest daughter who is doing the cooking.

I'm thankful for the part of the family that hubby and I are sharing the day with.

And I'm thankful for all the blessings God has bestowed upon me during my life.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
