7 Facts Award

I need to thank Tribute Books Mama  for this award.

Here are 7 facts about me, and I'm going to do what Tribute Books Mama did and list 7 facts about my life in the last week.

1. Every chance I got I stopped at McDonald's a got a vanilla flavored iced coffee with an extra shot. That's how I reward myself when I'm doing errands or grocery shopping. I don't enjoy doing either.

2. My daughter-in-law died my hair for me. I'm not a natural redhead and I never have been. I just like the color a lot better than my natural gray.

3. I love to eat at the Thai Kitchen in Porterville and we went there on Sunday. This time I had the seafood soup and the sweet potato fries.

4. Despite the fact everyone says there's no such thing as a free lunch, we had one at Red Lobster. They were a bit slow with hubby's lunch, believe me we didn't complain, and the manager came over and said he was paying for our lunch. We didn't argue.

6. Watching movies is one of our favorite recreations--whether at the movie theater or at home. Last week we saw Unknown. Plenty of twists and turns. We took middle daughter with us and enjoyed her company.

7. Ate Sushi at Tokyo Bowl. I love to try new things and am working my way through their Sushi offerings. Too bad I don't know how to use chopsticks.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
