My Upcoming Schedule

Fortunately I cut down on my conference going this year--mainly because I didn't want to make a bunch of transfers while flying. I say fortunately, because my calendar is filling fast.
I'm on a book tour in March, one I paid for, and I'll be appearing on some more blogs in April to keep the momentum going.

I'm really busy in April with the first event being the Jane Austen Festival in Fresno on the 9th and 10th all day. I went last year and really enjoyed myself. I'm hoping some of my Fresno friends will come visit me. I may have been the first person to make room reservations at the hotel arranged for by the festival chairman as it took a really long time for the registration person to figure out what I was talking about.

On the 12th, I'm headed up to Turlock to visit a reading club. On the 16th we'll be driving to a Burbank Library for a Sisters in Crime panel at 2. (We'll spend the night with my daughter in Oxnard--free place to stay and a chance to visit with family.)

On the 28th we'll be heading down to Mt. SAC college in Walnut where at 4:30 in the afternoon I'll be doing some readings and talking about why I wrote the books. We'll spend the night down there and then head over to visit my 99 years old auntie.

In May, we're going to Las Vegas where I'll be speaking to the Sister in Crime chapter there, not quite sure of the date yet. Always like going to Vegas because I can visit my sister and brother-in-law who live there.

In May is our only flying trip. We're going to Mayhem in the Midlands which both hubby and I enjoy because we've made so many friends there and it's like going to a family reunion.

In June we're heading to Sedona  AZ for multi-purposes. We're camping with our eldest daughter in her motor home, we'll be visiting my good friend Willma Gore who was a wonderful mentor to me and my writing career, and with Willma I'll be giving a joint talk at the Sedona Library on June 7th from 3:30 to 5:30, and a talk about working with small presses at the Well-Red Coyote Book Store on the 11h at 2 p.m.

On the 18th I'll be giving a presentation in Oakhurst at Willow Bridge Book Store a 2 p.m.

In July, it's back to Vegas for the Public Safety Writers Association's conference at the Orleans hotel. This is another favorite, small but jam-packed with all sorts of folks sharing their expertise both about law enforcement topics, writing and lots more.

So far I only have a book fair at the Nipomo Library in August, on the 20th.

September is the Central Coast Writers Conference, on the 16 and 17th, and I'll be a presenter. The 18th is the Central Coast Book Fest.

October 15 and 16 is the Springville Apple Festival. Then on the 29th, we're headed down to Long Beach and boarding ship on the 30th for the Mystery Cruise that got canceled last year. While we're aboard, hubby and I will be celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary.

That's what's on my calendar at the moment, I suspect other opportunities will pop up.

If you're in any of those places when I'm there, please be sure to say "hi."

And another opportunity has popped up. I'm going to be talking about Blogging and Blog Tours to Writers of Kern on Feb. 19.
