Announcing Great Grandbaby #12



Julius Matthew Meredith was born on 7/19/2011 at 8 pounds 4 ½ oz.

His father is my grandson, Nick Meredith. Nick lived with us from the time he was 11 until he was 20. We enjoyed having him. This is his second child, he also has a daughter named Kay’Lee who is 8.

I think he named his son after a character in a football movie, Remember the Titans. When he was around 15 and 16 and even older he watched that movie over and over. While in high school he was a quarterback and played other positions too for the Porterville team.

This makes the 12 great-grandchild for hubby and me.

Our oldest great graduated from high school this year.

Thanks, Mason, he has so many grandparents I'm sure he'll be spoiled, but probably not by us.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
