Left Coast Crime

I've been in Sacramento since Thursday at Left Coast Crime. It's been a wonderful mystery convention. Everything was well organized and seemed to go off perfectly.

The best part of any of these conventions is getting to see people you haven't seen for a long time.  We spent a lot of time with Victoria Heckman and her charming son, Zack.

My roommate was Madeline Gornell and we had so much fun together. It was like a slumber party everynight.

How much fun it was to connect with Naomi Hirahara.

There were so many new authors from Oak Tree Press to meet. Billie Johnson and Sunny Frazier were there too, schmoozing and making new contacts.

I visited with William Kent Krueger, a favorite author of mine I haven't seen since Mayhem in the Midlands. Jan Burke, another favorite was there too.

A real joy was running into Pat Jones, a fan. Also the Pat who rescued me in Anchorage AK and took me everywhere I needed to go in Wasilla.

I has been so much fun and I'm exhausted.
