Yesterday at PSWA

What an excitig day!

My first job was getting everything ready for the book sales. Books had to be unpacked and set up. Fortunately, people arrived to help.

The day was filled with fascinating presentations: serial rapists and not just those who have been in the news; how to write a fight scene with a panel of those who have done it; what you didn't know about the FBI; when cops go bad; and much,much more.

WE'VE GOT A DEAD GUY LYING IN THE CORNER!

Yep, and he's surrounded by clues and crime scene tape. We'll learn more about him today.

PSWA is a neat conference. If you want to meet some terrific people in all sorts of public safety fields who are also writers or interested in writing, you should consider joining and coming to the conference next year.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
