My Book Party for Spirit Shapes


When: Saturday, November 16, 1 p.m.

Where: Fellowship Hall, Springville Baptist Church, Bogart Dr., (off 190 at the top of the hill) on the way to Springville. (CA)

What: I plan on telling what led to the writing of Spirit Shapes. I'll also have a few copies of some of my other books in the series.

Refreshments:  My friend Cheryl who bakes the most wonderful cakes is providing one for this event.

I realize my party is in competition with all kinds of Christmas bazaars and boutiques all over Springville and Porterville. But, remember, a book signed my an author makes a unique gift.

I'm looking forward to seeing a few of my friends.

(And for those who think once a book is out, the author can rest, I've already started the next one in the series, and I'm going over the edits of my next Rocky Bluff P.D. crime novel.)

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
