Murder in the Worst Degree--a Bit of a Teaser




This is the cover and I think it's terrific!

I love the title too, but I can't take credit for that. Friend and fellow author, Wanda Porter sent the title to me and said I ought to use it. So without an idea for a plot, I started writing.

This is the first line of Chapter 1:

Except for the dead body washed up on the sand, conditions were perfect for surfing.

I really had a good time writing this book. And the winner of the contest to be a character in my next book has a most important part. I hope she likes it.

I've been really busy working on my blog tour. Right now I'm sending the posts and all that goes with them to my blog hosts. It all takes time.

When March comes and the book is available, I hope some of you will take the time to read it.

I'm not sure if I'll have copies by LCC, probably not. I'll sure be handing out cards about it though.

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. For the readers of this post, I first met Madeline at a book fair in Hanford, then again at the Sisters in Crime/MWA conference in Pasadena, and she came to last year's PSWA conference, and she came to my booksigning at my family reunion in Barstow and we were next to each other at a book fair in San Luis Obispo.
