In-Person Launch for River Spirits by Marilyn Meredith

Since we no longer have a book store, this time I thought I have the official in-person book launch for River Spirits at the Porerville Art Association's Holiday Boutique on November 7 from 10 to 8 and November 8 from 9-5.

The address is 151 North Main St., Porterville CA.

Beside having the opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of Spirit Shapes (what a great Christmas gift for the person who has everything) you'll also be able to see all the wonderful gift ideas displayed by the many talented artists of the PAA.

I'll be glad to tell you anything about my latest book, or about writing and getting published.

Besides River Spirits, I'll also have copies of my other books in this series and in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series on hand for perusal and purchase.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
