September is Another Birthday Month plus a lot more.

Both my husband and my sister have birthdays this month.

This is also the month where my family gathers together for its annual reunion. It's the only time some of us get to see each other during the year. We have a great time reminiscing about "the good old days", catching up on what's going on now, playing games, watching a talent show, and just having a great time being together.

As for what I'll be doing bookwise, I'm attending the Central Coast Author and Book Festival in Pismo at the Seacrest Oceanfront Hotel on September 20, 10 to 4. What a great location for a bookfair!

I am also planning my next Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery, while actively promoting the latest, just out, Not as it Seems, available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all the other places you can find or order books.



I'll be having a blog tour beginning September 15th, and of course the information about it will be here. 

Another project I've decided upon is doing some editing for other authors. I judge a lot of writing contests and see ways I could be of help. So if anyone reading this is interested email me at mmeredith24@ocsnet.net for particulars.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
