First Signing for A COLD DEATH

On Saturday, September 9th, from 2-5, I'll be at Barnes at Noble, 4001 California Ave., Bakersfield.

I haven't done a bookstore signing in a long time and since a friend urged me to do this, even talked to the store's event manager, I decided to try once again. Years ago I had a signing in this store, so long ago I don't really remember how it went.

My strategy, of course, is to let all my friends who live in Bakersfield know about the signing, put notices on Facebook and Twitter.

And if you happen to live in Bakersfield, do stop by and say, "Hello."

I believe I'll have copies of both A Cold Death and Seldom Traveled.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
