Buying Books for Christmas by Marilyn Meredith, #1

Gifting a book for Christmas is always a good choice.

I'd like to recommend some of mine.

I'll start with Lingering Spirit, a romance with a touch of the supernatural.

Of all my books, this is truly my favorite. Partly because it was inspired by a tragedy that happened in our own family. However, though there are some similar events, the book is fiction.


All of my books are free of bad language--as I like to say, the characters might swear, but I don't quote them.

I love most of your books. (Not so fond of the horror ones.) I have to agree. This is my favorite, too. Maybe that's why it won the award.

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
