Interesting Tidbits About NO BELLS

Moving right along with my editing of the books in the Rocky Bluff P.D. crime series, I just finished No Bells.

This is truly one of my favorite books in the series because the focus is on Officer Gordon Butler. He is a favorite of many fans of this series too. Thinks never go quite right for Gordon and the same is true in this offering. 

He falls in love but all does not go well--his sweetheart is the most likely suspect in a murder case.

One of the primary witnesses is a young man with Down syndrome. 

And of course, he manages to get sent on some weird calls--poop and a seagull. I have one of the members of the Public Safety Writers Association, a former cop, to thank for the idea for the most disgusting crime Gordon must investigate. 

Cell phones finally make an appearance. 

The meaning of the title came from something one of my eldest son's girlfriends said to him.

I don't have a cover to show because they are all changing.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
