Where I'll be the Next Two Months

Making appearances at book festivals, writing conferences, and writers meetings is all part of being a writer.

I try to make as many of the San Joaquin Sisters in Crime meetings as possible. I was one of the founding members. The membership has changed over the years, now we have more readers than writers. The first Saturday of the month is our regular meeting time, so I plan to be there (Yosemite Falls Restaurant on Ashland in Fresno) on April 7.

The big Visalia Library on Oak St. in Visalia is having the first ever Book Fair on Saturday, April 14th from 10 to 3. I will have a table and plan to bring many of my books with sale prices.

On April 21, I'll be back at the Visalia Library in the Blue Room for the Tulare-Kings Writers meeting at 10 a.m. This is a small but dedicated group of writers.

Saturday, April 28th, is the annual Madera Book Festival, at the Madera Library from 10 to 4. I've been to several of these and enjoy meeting the readers and the fellow writers.

On May 5th, I'm the speaker for the San Joaquin Sisters in Crime at 10 a.m. at Yosemite Falls Restaurant. My topic, "Where I Get My Ideas." I'll be telling about where the ideas came from for most of my books.

On May 10th, I'll be in SLO attending the Central Coast Sisters in Crime Mini Conference where I'll be on the first panel about Finding Time to Writer with fellow author Mara Purl.

And on May 24th at 1 p.m. I'll be speaking to the Springville Community Club about my writing.

So you can see it'll be a busy two months.
