This is How I Spent My Vacation

We spent five days in Murrieta visiting our family who live in that area.

So much fun seeing everyone and visiting.



One thing all of the females of the clan did was go to a great escape room. We solved the clues with only 15 seconds to spare! Thank goodness for the young minds: Alyssa (granddaughter who was sharp as a tack), Emily and Peyton (great grands who discovered many clues quickly), and my daughters, Dana, Lisa and Lori who discovered many things. Fun time.

We all had lunch together too in a new and wonderful restaurant. 


Can you believe this fish? I could only eat half and it was wonderful. The name of the restaurant is The Hive--believe it is in Wildomar.

We visited so much with everyone:

Grandson Patrick, his wife Lucy, two of his kids, Emily and Ethan. (Olivia is at college.)

Granddaughter Genie, her husband Mark, and their kids Peyton and Garrett--both recovering from sports injuries.

Great time.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
