In #10 of the Rocky Bluff P.D. series, the new Chief of Police, Chandra Taylor, plays a bigger role.

The officers of the Rocky Bluff P.D. are getting to know her, and she them. 

It's not easy to be the new chief being female, however, she is definitely holding her own.

Her character and persona are loosely based on a woman I know, with many changes, of course.

As the series moves on, Chief Taylor becomes more and more important.

I hope Murder in the Worst Degree will capture your attention and make you want to read more in the series.

Truly an interesting, good quick read.  (It probably took me all of 6 hours tops to read it.)  This action packed police procedure mystery was well plotted, well written and most enjoyable. So wonderful to find an author that doesn't need 300 pages plus to really write an entertaining novel!
And, even though this is 10th in a series - this is the first I've read and would recommend to anyone who likes to read!

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
