Report on Sale, Etc.




Publisher let me know 91 readers purchased a .99 cent copy of Murder in the Worst Degree.  He thought that was good--I've done way better while doing one of these sales when the price is zero.

As I move onto editing the latest in my Deputy Tempe Crabtree series. Sending the last chapters to members of my critique group. When they've suggested their fixes and changes, I'll send it on to my editor.

That means it's time to start promoting the Deputy Tempe Crabtree series once again, before the new on comes out.

For those who like to start a series at the beginning, here is some information about Deadly Trial. It is the first.

Some facts about Deadly Trail.

1.  Tempe meets Nick Two John.

2.  Her relationship with Pastor Hutch Hutchinson is revealed.

3.  Her son, Blair, is introduced.

4. The Inn plays an important part in this story.

5.  A lot of the information about plants came from a Native couple who had a garden much like the one in this book.

6.  The owner of the Inn is murdered and Nick is arrested as the prime suspect.

7.  Because the book is the first one written there is a lack of technology we now have.

8.  The logging industry is still in full swing.

9.  Many details about the town of  Bear Creek and it's surroundings are in this first book.

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California. Interview with PSWA Member, Madeline Gornell

Marilyn: I'm so happy I've had the opportunity to really become acquainted with you. For the readers of this post, I first met Madeline at a book fair in Hanford, then again at the Sisters in Crime/MWA conference in Pasadena, and she came to last year's PSWA conference, and she came to my booksigning at my family reunion in Barstow and we were next to each other at a book fair in San Luis Obispo.
