Time Marches On--Filling the Days

In many ways my day-to-day life hasn't changed much.

Though I'm in the old category and sheltering-in-place (most of the time, except when I go grocery shopping), my life is full of people. My granddaughter and her hubby and their three girls live in the house with us.

In the small house on our property, my son and daughter-in-law live. 

We all have dinner together.

I'm always the first one up (around 4 a.m.) ready for the day, I always get dressed, do my Bible study, whatever needs to be one in the kitchen, putting dishes/pots and pans away, and making my Chai tea latte.

Then it's to the computer, check Facebook, make a couple of posts, head on over to my email to read and respond.

If someone has asked me to do a program plan or help them with getting licensed for a residential care home, I'll work on that first. Sometimes this will take a few days. Otherwise, I work on my mystery in progress. Right now it's a Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery and I'm approaching the end.

My critique group will go over the remaining chapters which I will send on at a time.

Then I'll go through it again. There are several things I know I need to fix and/or add. After that I'll send it off to my editor. She'll find lots for me to fix. How long this will all take I don't know. I'll need a cover and I hope her husband will be able to come up with one. And from there it will be published.

I do all my work in the morning when my brain works best. By 11:30, I'm tying things up. Lunch and then I try to find something on TV that I won't mind sleeping through, Yep, nap time.

I usually cook, because I like to--most of the time anyway.

We always eat around four because that worked for the little girls' schedules when they were able to go do their tumbling, juijisu, MMA and Awana. All are on hold now because of the Corona virus.

Evenings, we try to find something entertaining on TV, not always easy.

The highlight of any day is when my sister on one of my girls who live faraway calls us.

An yes, bedtime comes early.

So, that's more or less what I do, no matter what's going on. I will be glad when this is over though, I do miss my writing friends.
