Violent Departures





In Violet Departures a car is found in a driveway with the motor running and driver's door hanging open. The car belongs to a college student and it is up to the RBPD to locate her.

This isn't an easy task. Some of the investigation goes back to her high school days, and Detective Milligan's daughter, Beth, finds a great clue in the missing girl's year book.

As usual, what's happening in the private lives of the police officers is a big part of the story, some good and some not.

More of Rocky Bluff's history is discovered, including a tie to Charlie Manson and his followers.

Once again, there is a new police officer in the RBPD.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
