Another Free Kindle Book

Yes, I'm doing it again. This time it's for NO BELLS in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series. It will be free from today, March 14 through Friday, March 18.

Gordon started out as a minor character in one of my earlier Rocky Bluff P.D. crime novels, Fringe Benefits, which was mainly a story about Gordon’s training officer, a very bad cop. In that one and subsequent others, things have not gone well for Gordon.

Being a police officer is all that Gordon ever wanted to do. He knows the law better than anyone on the force. His biggest joy is catching a criminal—or any law breaker for that matter. He hands out traffic tickets gleefully and seldom gives anyone a break.

He is not a buffoon, though if something can go wrong for him, it will.

Gordon’s love life has not been successful , but he falls in love with a lovely redhead he gave a speeding ticket. The budding romance gets complicated when his new love turns out to be the major suspect in a murder case.

Of course Detectives Doug Milligan and his partner Frank Marshall’s investigation of the murder plays a major role in the story. What Gordon does about his dilemma is the underlying plot of No Bells.

No Bells is another of my favorites in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series.

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California. (We live there now. When she was a teen, she came with me when I took the women in my care home to church camp, and was an unbelievable help. I couldn...

Murder, Mayhem and Ghost Stories is a series of short and very short stories about murder, mayhem and ghostly happenings that I have successfully written and published over the years. Most were for a particular magazine requiring a specific number of words, e.g., 100 to 2000 words. The book is divided into categories and there is one very special story written by my Granddaughter, Nicole St. Onge, No Guts, No Gory, which will satisfy your mysterious needs.      Writing and publishing these stories have been my enthusiastic path t...
