Report on my .99 cent book sale, coming next, and being 89.

Not sure anyone really cares, but this sale did pretty well when it comes to people buying other books in the sereis--which is the whole point to doing this.

Next I'm planning a freebie for Halloween--more later.

This has been a busy time--have had lots of fun celebrating my 89th birthday. Lots of lunches out with family. 

What's it like to be 89? 

Fortunately, I'm in good health. Good thing, because I'm busy caring for my husband, and still working on people's program designs. Have a book in progess too, but it's kind of on the back shelf.

I don't have the energy I once had--I think about when I had my care home--taking care of 4 to 6 women, doing the laundry, cooking, planning their recreation, training, and day-to-day life (loved this). And I still wrote one book after another.

Sometimes we had a grandkid or two living with us. I taught writing classes, went to writing conferences and cons. I was always busy and loved it.

I've slowed way down, need more rest and got bed early--but get up really early too so I can get things done while my mind is fresh.

I'm still teach Sunday School and loving it. Been doing that for a long, long time. Have 4th and 5th graders, and sometimes a 3rd grader. 

What I don't do much of anymore is cook. I used to love to cook--cooked for lots of folks--as we often had company plus all those who lived with us. 

Live changes--and one must go along with it gracefully.
