Day 2 of BONES IN THE ATTIC being free.




Since it is Sunday, I'd like to tell you that my series is mostly free of bad language, and some of my characters go to church--Protestant and Catholic.

However in the first few books of the series, the plots are darker than later ones. Don't really have an explanation for that except I may have been reading darker books at the time. Or because real events do trigger ideas for books, and I kept up on the news, which I don't so much anymore. 

I have always written about the family life of the Rocky Bluff police force and BONES IN THE ATTIC is no exception. The plot not only encompasses Detective Milligan's family, but also other families and what happens to them.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
