The Main Setting, the 55 Plus Community


The 55 plus community in The Trash Harem  is fictional.

However it developed from the two such communities that my eldes and youngest daughter live-in.

I took the inside of one home and switched it around a bit for the inside of the home Tempe and Hutch's friends live in.

The outside of the home has a resemblance to some of the homes in the other community.

For the community building, I used one that I'd been to for a book event--sort of.

The community is built on a hill in Temecula--no such place.

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
