A Wonderful Day

The Author and Artists Day at the Springville Historical Museum turned out to be a great day.

The weather was perfect, though a storm over the mountains with lightning threatened, it didn't come to us. My spot was right inside the museum's grounds under a big shade tree. A nice breeze kept us cool all day.

Lisa was with me all day, and took care of sales and the money.

Brent Gill, a good friend and fellow author was next to me. It was good to see him.

Many people I knew stopped by and visited, and I met many others.

Sales were good.

And the museum wants the whole Deputy Tempe Crabtree series. Woo hoo!

Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
