Today is My Birthday--Last Day for Free E-Book


This is a BIG brithday--I've managed to be on this earth for 90 years. 

To celebrate, I'm offering the first in the Tempe Crabtree mystery series on Kindle, free. This is the last day.

When this book first came out it had a totally different cover, ine that didn't match the covers on the rest of the series. 

Larry Collins did a great job creating this one that does have the same Indian feel as the other covers.

My hope, of course, is you will read and like DEADLY TRAIL and want to continue with the series.

Marilyn: I'm so happy I've had the opportunity to really become acquainted with you. For the readers of this post, I first met Madeline at a book fair in Hanford, then again at the Sisters in Crime/MWA conference in Pasadena, and she came to last year's PSWA conference, and she came to my booksigning at my family reunion in Barstow and we were next to each other at a book fair in San Luis Obispo. My first question is, when did you first become interested in writing? Madeline: Hi, Marilyn, great being able to “talk to you” on your blog. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
