BAD TIDINGS, 2nd book in the RBPD series



This book also has had 4 publishers, and the final edition was re-edited. 

Some of the characters from the first book in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series appear in BAD TIDINGS, but the main character is Lt. Gilbreath. He often has to deliver bad news to relatives of accident or muder victims

Gilbreath and his wife were inspired by a couple of our friends. He was the vice-principal at the highschool my kids attended, and I spent a lot of time with his wife.

A warning: this book has some rather dark places in it.

The mysteries came from actual happenings (fictionalized, of course) I either heard about or read about in the newspaper.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
