AT THE FAIR

Yesterday was our first day at the fair. Difficulties from the beginning. Had to wait for stickers for the car and passes to get in. Someone had to lead us to the Art Pavillion (really the skating rink) and we were set up way in the back> few people ventured back there.

I went out with my business cards to drum up some business. that helped.

The people who ventured back there either came to see photos on the wall or use the restrooms. Took a lot of work to get people interestede enough nto buy a book.

we stayed until 4, the others with us stayed on. we've found a neighborhood cafe with great food and eaten breakfast and dinner there.

Heading back to the fair this a.m.

It would be great if when you showed up this time, they'd moved your table to a more active location! But it certainly shows your salesmanship that you got people to come over. Hope you have good sales today.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. So here goes with my battery of questions. First, tell me something about your background, including where you live. Thank you Marilyn. I live in Middle England really; Northampton. About as far away from water as you can get (3 hours) which I don’t quite understand as I love water; every picture (actually subconsciously until a friend pointed it out) in my house contains water. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special. Everyone loves here, young and old alike. I was in the delivery room when she was born--exciting and wonderous. I babysat her many times until her mom and dad moved to Central California.
