Happy Birthday to Me!


Yep, it is my birthday. I'm at the age where I'd just as soon forget them. I've had way too many. The first birthday party I can remember, was when I was 5.  I'd just been a flower girl for auntie's wedding so I wore the same dress. I'm not sure if it was this one or not, but I'm about the same age here.
For that party I got to be a fairy princess and I know that my aunts and mom worked really hard to make the whole affair like a fairytale.

This was my wedding day, I was just 18.

Me, now 19, and first child, Dana. We had four more kids, eighteen grandkids, and 12 great grands with another due anyday.


 Me at last year's birthday celebration. I've had a great life with many, many blessings.

Meet Morgen Bailey from the UK

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on Morgen and find out something things about her, so here goes: Morgen, except for the fact that you do terrific interviews I know very little about you. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it. I took a peek on the Internet and it looks like a beautiful place to celebrate most anything. Yes, I'm excited. I'll take pictures and report on it when I get back. Melissa is special.
